On March 16th, 2024, the Digital Media Avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya hosted “Graphify,” an engaging graphic design workshop for undergraduates at the University of Kelaniya. The event aimed to equip students with essential Adobe Photoshop skills and was conducted via Zoom by Mr. Harith Jayanath, the former co-director of the Digital Media Avenue.

Mr. Jayanath’s expertise and clear teaching style made the session both informative and accessible. Participants were introduced to the basics of flyer design using Adobe Photoshop, including layers, selection tools, color correction, and photo retouching.
Beyond technical skills, Mr. Jayanath encouraged students to explore their creativity and develop their unique design style. He shared tips on composition, typography, and visual storytelling, emphasizing the importance of creativity in graphic design.
The workshop received positive feedback from attendees. The event highlighted the importance of digital literacy and visual communication in today’s world.
