Every day, our teachers step into the classroom ready to tackle the enormous and noble task of molding young minds. They are not merely instructors delivering lessons from a textbook, they are mentors, guides, role models, and nation builders in the truest sense. Observed on October 6th, this day is a time to reflect on the dedication, creativity, and passion of educators around the world.

The 2025 global theme, as set out by UNESCO and its partners, is “Recasting teaching as a collaborative profession”, highlighting the importance of collaboration as a driver of educational transformation.

The impact of a teacher is lifelong. Whether it’s helping a child learn to read, sparking a love of science, or offering words of encouragement at the right moment, teachers make a difference in ways that ripple through generations. Their influence extends beyond academics. They are the ones who ignite curiosity, instill values, cultivate resilience & see the potential in a child. As the great American historian Henry Adams once said, “A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops.” This sentiment perfectly captures the tireless and profound work of every educator.
