The festive season sparkled brighter this year as the Regional Engagement Avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya organized the project Jingle Joyland, a heartwarming Christmas celebration in collaboration with the Interact Club of Colombo North, held on the 9th of December 2024 from 9 a.m. onwards at Peter Weerasekara Children’s Home in Miriswaththa. The event brought joy, love and unforgettable memories to little hearts.
The project aimed to create a magical Christmas experience for the children through fun activities, thoughtful gifts and festive cheer. The day was filled with laughter, music, painting, drawing, singing and dancing with little hearts, creating moments of shared happiness. Volunteers and children joined hands to sing classic Christmas songs, filling the air with melodies of joy. They danced together, creating moments of pure bliss and bonding.

A highlight of the event was the much-anticipated arrival of Santa Claus, who spread cheer and handed out gifts specially prepared for each child. Their faces lit up with excitement and wonder, embodying the true spirit of the season.
Beyond the festivities, Jingle Joyland symbolized compassion, unity and the power of collective goodwill. It reminded everyone involved that small acts of kindness can create lasting memories and brighten lives.

As the day concluded, hearts were filled with gratitude, love and the warmth of shared experiences. Jingle Joyland was more than just a Christmas event it was a celebration of humanity, reminding us all of the joy found in giving and the beauty of spreading smiles.
