As a part of fulfilling the Twin Club Agreement, We Care 2.0, was initiated by the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya along with the Rotaract Club of Izmir Ekonomi, Turkey. Beyond its presence as a mere project, it appeared to be a diplomatic mission while ensuring the right to education of the economically challenged children.

Interestingly, it was initiated on 15th of January 2025 and through this collaborative effort, the organizing committee of We Care 2.0 served the selected group of poverty-stricken children of Sri Chandrasekara Maha Vidyalaya, Panadura with essential stationary on 06th of March 2025. From the other end, the Rotaract Club of Izmir Ekonomi served a set of children from Lamia Kareer Primary School, Turkey with required stationary items to support them with the education.
Being an international collaborative project, it never forgot to share this experience among the International Community on a weekly basis and it strengthened the diplomatic ties between the two countries. To make this happen, the overall project plan and the public relations plan were confirmed with the help of skillful organizing committee members.

In addition, they were in a mission to collect funds by organizing various fundraising activities. Therefore, by collecting funds from Pettah, Maharagama and Colombo, the monetary requirements were achieved and it directly led to purchasing the necessary stationery. On that day of execution, children were belated with the gifts and treats that they were given. The members were also glad to see the little smiles on their faces. Though the We Care journey was a bumpy ride, the enthusiasm of the members made this effort a blast!
Ultimately, its worthy to say finally we made that amazing journey come true along with the Rotaract Club of Izmir Ekonomi. It also can be stated that We Care 2.0 is an attempt to address the ongoing global demand.
