Alright, camera ready? “Say Cheese!” It’s World Photography Day!
Selfies, solo pictures, and group photos are all nicely captured moments in one’s life. In a way, we are all photographers on a daily basis, but even among us, there are unique eyes that capture unique shots out of ordinary things, turning them into something aesthetic and extraordinary.

Photography is a universal language where we can express ourselves without any verbal interference. It tells stories that go beyond the surface of each and everyone’s life. So, life is short, guys. Just take the shot whenever you feel like it’s the moment that will become a perfect memory.

Every year on August 19, the world comes together to celebrate photographs as a tribute to the art, science, and history of photography. Did you know that the origin of photography began in 1839 with the invention of the Daguerreotype by Louis Daguerre? Thanks to his marvelous creation, we are able to capture memorable moments in our lives and even share them with future generations.
Every picture tells a different story, so what’s yours?
Just take a minute and go back to your gallery. See how those memories are frozen among those tiny pixels, filled with laughter, joy, and enthusiasm. However, some photographs do not bring that same joy. Instead, they capture social issues and harsh realities of life. Though they may seem unsympathetic, society should accept the truth behind those captured shots.
Photography connects people across all cultures, generations, and backgrounds. Photography is more than just clicking a button on a camera; it is a simple way of expressing oneself. On this day, photography enthusiasts around the world engage in fun activities like conducting online photo contests, photo walks, sharing favorite photographs, and learning new techniques.
Just imagine a world without photographs, it would mean the end of capturing memories. So, I would like to use this day as a reminder to keep exploring the world through your own unique lenses, snapping your memories.
“We keep this love in a photograph; we made these memories for ourselves.”
– Ed Sheeran
