Hidden inside the old library was a map that didn’t show places… it showed dates. When Kian touched one marked “July 18, 1898,” the ground beneath him disappeared…
He suddenly appeared in a dark cave. He felt some kind of rotten smell, from normally caves live full of bats. Two bats flew near his ears. That makes Kian’s heart beat up but after few seconds he calm down. His eyes get used to dark after he blink two or three times. Kian saw far away in the left side of the cave there is a blue light.
He wanted to walk toward the light, but with every step, he felt something strange. Looking down, he saw thick mud sticking to his feet. Still he forced himself forward until he finally reached to that glowing area. Kian froze when he saw a set of huge doors, each carved with different names. First door stood out, glowing brighter than the others. He looked up and saw that it was labeled “the parth to dragons.”
Kian hesitated, his hand hovering over the glowing letters as if the door might feel his fear. When he finally touched them, the stone shivered and opened with a slow, aching sound, like something waking after a long sleep. Warm air rushed past him, carrying the scent of smoke and rain and for a moment he felt strangely comforted like someone was expecting him. Inside, a second map rested on the floor, unfinished and trembling. As he watched, a new date slowly burned onto the paper: July 18, 2098. A quiet realization settled in his chest this journey wasn’t only about where he had been sent… it was about where he was meant to go.
