My Rotaract journey began in the most unexpected way. I wasn’t the kind of girl who actively engaged in extracurricular activities during school. So when I first joined Rotaract, my intention was simple to add another qualification to my CV. But somewhere along the way, what started as a small step turned into something much bigger… it became a passion.
I began my journey by selecting Club Service as my main avenue and Public Relations as my technical avenue. Looking back, joining the Public Relations team was truly the turning point of my Rotaract life. It was there that I discovered my passion for content creation and creative thinking something I didn’t even realize I had within me.

At the beginning of the 2024–2025 Rotaract year, I became a part of the very first project organized by the Public Relations Avenue — Rota Brain Tease. As an Event Coordinator, I stepped into the world of content creation in a completely new way. Collaborating with renowned volunteering initiatives like Embark made the experience even more exciting. It was more than just a project — it was a moment that showed me what I was capable of.
Although I initially hesitated to take on responsibilities in the main avenue due to concerns about my time management, especially with exams in between, I eventually stepped out of my comfort zone. Being selected to the Organizing Committee of Christinzel ’25 was another defining moment. Despite the challenges, it helped me realize my ability to balance multiple responsibilities while also building meaningful connections with people from different batches.

Following that, I had the opportunity to be part of INFLUENCIA, the first-ever Influencer Discussion Forum organized by our club. With the participation of around 12–15 influencers from diverse fields, it was truly a dynamic and exciting experience. Moments like these made me feel even more connected to the club — and especially to the Public Relations Avenue.
As time went on, I became more attached to the club — and especially to the Public Relations Avenue. The guidance and support from the Immediate Past Directors, Rtr. Amali and Rtr. Chamagi Akki, along with the ever-supportive ExCo Rtr. Sachinthani, made my journey not just productive but truly enjoyable.

Stepping into leadership as a Team Leader in the Public Relations Avenue was another milestone. Leading a team for the Rota Tomorrow Competition and initiating Project Jeewadhara, my first-ever community service initiative, was an experience close to my heart. It wasn’t just about executing a project — it was about creating impact and growing as a person.
Towards the end of my first year, I was appointed as a Co-Director of the Public Relations Avenue alongside my supportive Co-Director, Rtr. Pawan Malli and the Overlooking Exco Rtr.Kareema.This marked the beginning of a new chapter — one filled with responsibility, growth, and the opportunity to initiate meaningful work.

One of our key initiatives was launching the online webinar series PREVAIL – Master the Art of PR, aimed at guiding others on how to execute PR campaigns effectively. It was fulfilling to not only learn but also share that knowledge with others.
For the second time, I had the privilege of being part of the Rota Tomorrow Competition — this time as a mentor. It felt like coming full circle, reconnecting with my roots. Project Jeewadhara remains one of the most special parts of my journey. It healed me in many ways and introduced me to some of the most kind-hearted and inspiring individuals.
Today, as I reflect on this journey, I realize how much Rotaract has shaped me — from someone who joined with a simple intention to someone who found purpose, passion, and a family.

I sign off with a heart full of gratitude.
Viva la Rotaract
