Every year on 12th August, the world pauses to celebrate International Youth Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the energy, ideas and courage of young people everywhere. Established by the United Nations in 1999. This day is not just a symbolic date on the calendar; it is a reminder that the future is not something that simply arrives, it is something young people build, question and reshape every single day.

At first glance, youth may seem like just a phase of life, a bridge between childhood and adulthood. But look closer, and you will find that this is often the most powerful chapter of all. It is a time defined by curiosity without limits, courage without hesitation and a willingness to imagine a world that does not yet exist. Whether it is students leading Rotaract and Interact projects, young entrepreneurs starting small businesses from their homes, or university students using social media to raise awareness about causes close to their hearts, young people are proving that impact does not wait for age or experience; it simply waits for someone willing to act.

International Youth Day also reminds us of a responsibility that comes with this energy: the responsibility to mentor, to include and to listen.
