ELEVATE SRI LANKA | Energy Section

Conserving energy through sustainable practices and innovative efforts is a powerful act that shapes a brighter future for our planet.

Project Elevate Sri Lanka, initiated by the Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya, has set forth a noble mission to combat various pressing issues plaguing the nation. Among these challenges, the project’s Energy Section focuses on addressing the energy crisis that has befallen Sri Lanka, offering innovative and sustainable solutions.

The first step taken by the team was to identify energy-saving measures specifically tailored for the university system. With a commitment to lead by example, the team of ESL energy section embarked on a field visit to assess the current energy consumption patterns within the university premises. This hands-on approach provided valuable insights into potential areas for improvement.

To deepen their understanding, the team members reached out to industry experts, seeking their guidance and expertise. Through interactions and knowledge-sharing sessions, they delved into various energy-efficient technologies and explored their feasibility within the Sri Lankan context.

Conducting a comprehensive feasibility analysis became the subsequent task. The team meticulously examined different solutions and their potential impact on energy consumption. This critical evaluation allowed them to select the most promising strategies for implementation.

To further their cause, the team decided to launch “RenewX”; a magazine dedicated to promoting renewable energy and sustainable practices. This publication would serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, showcasing success stories, and inspiring individuals and organizations to contribute to the energy revolution.

The Energy Section of Project Elevate Sri Lanka embodies the commitment of the Rotaract Club of the University of Kelaniya to drive positive change. Through our tireless efforts, we are not only addressing the energy crisis but also encouraging a broader shift towards sustainability. By empowering communities and fostering innovation, we aspire to elevate Sri Lanka to new heights of progress and prosperity.

Unraveling the tangled knots of the dollar crisis is paramount, as it holds the key to unlocking economic stability and rekindling the flames of financial prosperity.

The Dollar Project under the project Elevate Sri Lanka is the latest initiative of RACUOK which was created with the sole purpose of addressing the economic difficulties which are currently faced by Sri Lanka. We, the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya believe that Sri Lanka, being a country filled with small-scale yet highly talented entrepreneurs and their unique indigenous crafts and arts, still has a prodigious unreached potential in the international arena.

The Dollar Project aimed to support and uplift small-scale entrepreneurs who have not yet been exposed to the export industry, by providing them with the necessary resources, training, and support to enhance their business operations and stimulate economic growth. The project encompassed a thorough analysis of the factors leading to the crisis, capacity building, mentorship, access to finance, and creating an enabling environment where small-scale entrepreneurs could thrive and contribute to the overall socio-economic development in Sri Lanka.

In conclusion, The Elevate Sri Lanka Dollar Project played a significant role in many aspects of challenging the dollar crisis by addressing the challenges entrepreneurs faced through targeted capacity building, access to finance and facilitating the growth and sustainability of small-scale enterprises.
