An outstanding leader should be well aware and adopt the emerging technologies in order to enhance their true potentials and skills. With this understanding, “Leap” phase 2, the IT awareness session was conducted with the aim of improving the technological knowledge and skills of the Board of Directors of the Rotaract club of University of Kelaniya.

The session was effectively directed by the Director of Digital Media, Rtr. Supun Viduranga on the 09th of September 2020, at the ICT center of University of Kelaniya, with the participation of many of our fellow Rotaractors and the Director Board. The participants were made aware and keenly guided through a wide arena of IT skills and technological tactics throughout the session. The programme was mainly based upon discussions on topics such as, hosting and handling Google and Zoom meets, creating and editing Google forms, creation of reports with Google Docs and MS Office, how to create simple flyers and projects using Canva and easy tips to share google drive files with different users. Apart from these selected topics, the participants were given the chance to suggest or clarify their doubts regarding any area of the technological applications which they come across in their life.

All in all, this project was very much helpful for our fellow Rotaractors to empower their leadership qualities and to utilize technological assets creatively and to polish up their technological knowledge in their professional as well as in personal life.
