My Rotaract journey has been one of the most exciting and life-changing experiences of my university life. Over the past two years, it has given me not only opportunities to serve the community but also to grow as a leader and as an individual.
My journey began in my first year (Term 24/25) with Project Swabasamudra 2.0, where I had the privilege of serving as the Co-Chair. This project holds a special place in my heart because it was my first major experience in Rotaract. During the first phase, we successfully established herbal gardens in five schools, followed by a memorable award ceremony. In the second phase, we conducted awareness sessions for students, sharing valuable knowledge. The third phase was truly unforgettable—we traveled to Rekawa for a donation project and spent the night at Blue Beach Island. That camping night, surrounded by friends and nature, remains one of the most memorable moments of my life.

Apart from Swabasamudra, I actively contributed to several other projects. I worked as the Travel Coordinator for Project Ekhos of Ceylon, where we visited different locations to promote tourism. It was a unique experience that allowed me to explore new places while contributing to a meaningful cause. I also served as the Finance Coordinator for the Health and Sanitation sector in Project Ignite 2.0, which helped me strengthen my organizational and financial management skills.
During my first year, I was honored to be appointed as the Team Leader of the Finance Avenue. This role opened the door to numerous leadership opportunities. One of my key initiatives was Project Finwave, which included a quiz competition as its first phase and a financial literacy awareness session as its second phase. Leading this project gave me confidence and helped me understand the true meaning of teamwork and responsibility.

In my second year (Term 25/26), I was appointed as the Director of the Finance Avenue, a role that brought even greater responsibility and learning. As the head of the avenue, I had the opportunity to guide my team, take on bigger challenges, and expand my leadership skills. One of the proudest moments for me was initiating Finwave 2.0, continuing the project I started as a Team Leader.
Throughout these two years, Rotaract has given me countless opportunities, unforgettable memories, and lifelong friendships. Of course, not every moment was perfect. One such instance was when I was unable to participate in the Rota Wasantha Kumara New Year celebration due to an accident the night before. Even though I missed the event, it reminded me how deeply I was connected to this journey.

Looking back, Rotaract has shaped me in ways I never expected. It has taught me leadership, resilience, and the importance of service. More than anything, it has given me a sense of purpose and a family that I will always cherish.
