Starts With You is a virtual project organized by Rotaract club of University of Kelaniya.
Due to the prevailing situation (COVID 19) in our country and the world, this project was done in a different way. We invited Rotaractors to send us photographs with their environmental friendly habit. Since the project was virtually done, we had to share some flyers to give an idea about the project. We got about 20 responses for this project. After editing
them with their names we posted those photos on our Facebook page and Instagram.

The project took place from 5 th April 2020 to 10th May 2020. The main objective of this project was to create awareness among students to address the issues and conserve the
environment in better way. Furthermore, to give some ideas to the other people what they can do to save the environment, increasing property value and adding variety to landscape, ensuring the welfare of animals, protecting groundwater supplies and improving outdoor recreational activities.

We planned this program to encourage people and give some ideas to protect the
environment and stop the thing that cause harm to the environment which are normally
done by human beings. During this quarantine period people are more connected with
social medias, so we chose a platform such as that for our project and also these ideas could benefit for both the environment and society. And by supporting this project we hoped members can improve their recreational activities. The project objectives were satisfying since a number of 24 participants took part and our campaign had reaches on social media platforms with positive feedbacks.
