The Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya was chartered in 2010 under the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Kelaniya .Since then it has been an active club in the Rotaract District 3220 Sri Lanka & Maldives Up to date. Our club receives the fullest support from its parent club, Rotary Club of Colombo Uptown. Since its inception the club has carried out a considerable number of projects rendering a great service to the society. Currently it has a membership base of more than 100 members with a board consisting of 14 members. The main objective of the club is to activate projects to make the society a happier place. Past presidents and their board of directors of the Rotaract Club of University of have been able to raise the club to a good standing university-based club in the district.
With the commencement of the new club year many changes have been effected. The club logo, club slogan and creating a blog instead of the newsletter. Yet our premier policy of voluntary service will continue more energetically.
Every aspect of our action is based on a reason. The new logo, the globe containing a five colored globe depicts the unity and the bond of a multitude of different people and the triangular projections in five colors depict effort to spread the benefit of our voluntary service throughout the global society.
“Dream, Serve, Relish” is the new slogan to create a strong feeling on our vision, action and happiness at success.
With the advancement of new technology we too have moved towards advancement by changing our newsletter into a blog so that to exhibit our transparency in rendering our utmost service to the society and enable and provide the public with information and knowledge motivating them to join the voluntary services.
