The Inter Rotaract Basketball Tournament (IRBT) organized for the 6th consecutive year by the Rotaract Clubs of University of Kelaniya, Colombo Uptown and University of Colombo, Faculty of Arts was concluded successfully on the 20th of March 2016 at Police Park Grounds. Representing our club the project was chaired by Rtr. Ravindu Silva (Treasurer) and Rtr. Pasani Wickrama.
The tournament was started with the participation of more than 20 basketball teams who represented their rotaract clubs. Starting from the beginning all the matches were very competitive and there was a huge crowd gathered to cheer their own clubs.
Apart of the main matches there were mini competitions organized by the organizing committee in order to find the best shooter out of all the male and female basketball teams and a selfy competition for the spectators.
At the end of the tournament The Rotaract Club of NSBM was emerged as the champions of the male category and the Rotaract club of Colombo Uptown was emerged as the champions of the female category of the 6th IRBT tournament.
With the participation of the Rotaract district members and the DRR Rtr. Sathiyendra T Singhma as the chief guest the awards were awarded to the winning clubs and the tournament was concluded successfully with the hard work and team work of many rotaractors.
