The Entrepreneur, a gathering held for young entrepreneurs with the intention of motivating them, was organized by the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya on the 16th of July 2016 at St.Peter’s College, Colombo from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. It enabled all participants to interact with three well known speakers who have succeeded in their journey of entrepreneurship. They are namely Mr.Rohan Pallewatte, Mr.Sunesh Rodrigo and Mr.Dulith Herath.
Mr.Rohan Pallewatta, the Executive Chairman of Lanka Harness Co.(PVT) LTD throughout his speech gave us an insight to his successful journey in the corporate arena from inception to date as an entrepreneur, and encouraged us to not to give up on our dreams for success does not happen overnight. Moreover he urged us to keep our eyes open for new opportunities in the market and ended his speech by an accompanying Q & A session.
Mr.Sunesh Rodrigo, the Deputy General Manager of Group Human Resources at MAS Holdings and founder of Vantage Consultancy and foodigrow, is a corporate trainer, consultant, lecturer and public speaker. He conducted a workshop on how to be a successful entrepreneur which included an interactive session with all the participants at the event.
Mr.Dulith Herath, the award winning founder and CEO of Kapruka based his speech mainly on how he was able to remain sustainable and competitive amidst the numerous challenges and hardships he has faced in the corporate world, which helped the participants to gain an insight as to how to surpass difficulties they face and to outperform in their respective business ventures. The speech was followed by a Q & A session.
These three extraordinary individuals were able to make the event a memorable one for all the participants who attended and to create a life changing experience by uplifting their dreams to a different level.
