On October 4th, the premises of Cyber Grounds, located in the bustling center of the University of Kelaniya, sprang to life as the Finance Avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya, organized a grand celebration which is named as “Holi Hai with Fun Fest” under the project Spark’23. This colorful and friendly celebration was a result of Team 02 and Team 03 working together to overcome obstacles and make the event a huge success.
As people started participating in a carnival of games around 2:30 pm, the grounds were alive with laughter and excitement. Together, the imaginative brains of Team 03 and the astute financial minds of Team 02 overcame challenges to guarantee a flawless event execution.
The team’s collective effort, which not only met but beyond expectations, was the high point of the fundraising efforts. Their passion and hard work paid off with a fantastic selection of game stalls, such as the well-known Cup Game, the Color-Guessing Challenge, the Mehndi Station, and the Balloon Game, which delighted and amused everyone in space.
When four o’clock rolled around, the mood changed to a rainbow of hues as the Holi festival got underway. People had a great time splattering each other with bright colors and making memories that will stay long after the final drop of color disappeared.
The magnificent lantern time brought the celebrations to a climax at 6:00 p.m. The event was enhanced with a magical touch as participants were mesmerized by the captivating light display set to music. After that, there was a couple’s balloon dance event that was so much fun that everyone was cheering each other on.
An incredible event came to an end with a big finale that had everyone dancing to the music. “Holi Hai with Fun Fest” was a huge success because of everyone’s hard work and dedication to creating an outstanding event, not simply the team leaders’ careful planning.
After the celebrations ended, music, laughter, and the mutual happiness of a well-executed partnership reverberated around the Cyber Grounds. “Holi Hai with Fun Fest” was a highlight of Spark’23 because of its overwhelming success, which is a monument to the strength of collaboration, tenacity, and the capacity to overcome obstacles. When the colorful day ends, the memories made will surely endure and work as a source of motivation for the dynamic teams of the University of Kelaniya Rotaract Club’s future projects.
