The voyage of visionary for the month of December is owned by the Co Directors-Professional Development, Rtr. Umali Rodrigo and Rtr. Darshana Bandara for the best work they’ve put in organizing “The Entrepreneur” event.
“The Entrepreneur” is a program which was organized with the expectation of driving the enterprising spirit of young Sri Lankans.
It is our belief that through entrepreneurship, we can drive Sri Lanka to the upper echelons of the world economy. But one crucial aspect that could be holding us back as a nation is the lack of the entrepreneurial culture in our blood.
Thus the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya, decided that it is a need of the nation to guide youth of Sri Lanka towards achieving this goal. So “The Entrepreneur” was held on 7th of December 2017 at University of Kelaniya premises.
There were three reputed entrepreneurs who shared their life experiences with the young audience motivating them to become entrepreneurs trusting in themselves. We are very proud to say that there were more than 100 young people in the audience, who actively participated in the sessions and discussions.
At the end of the program there were many compliments and good feed backs to the Co directors of professional development for organizing such a fruitful event. Hours went fast with the life experiences and good advises from the three entrepreneurs Mr. Dasantha fonseka (Chairman & founder of vision care opticals), Mr. Russel Perera (Managing Director & founder of Russels group), Mr. Adhisha Gammanpila (CEO & founder of surf edge).
Congratulations Rtr. Umali and Rtr.Darshana Co directors of Professional Development, to be titled “Voyage of Visionary” for the month of December 2017. You did a great job organizing such a valuable event.
