The International Day of Peace

The United Nations General Assembly has declared 21st of September as a day devoted to strengthen the ideals of peace. We all would love to live in a society without any disturbance. The sustainable development goals announced by the United Nations are important to achieve peace, which in turn will help to achieve this shared vision of humanity. These stated goals will lay a foundation for a lasting peace.

Life is always about facing challenges and overcoming them despite difficulties. Therefore prevalence of peace and harmony is crucial to lead one’s life. The day the power of love overrule the love for power, peace will be attained.

As rotaractors it is important that we work towards building up understanding among each other, irrespective of the varied differences and make this world a better live for. We as rotaractors of University of Kelaniya has one solid wish.
