Well, the very name of the project suggests our goal and objectives in organizing this workshop annually. Yes, “ElevaIT X” was definitely a project to enhance IT literacy among students and undergraduates. Even though we conducted ElevaIT 2018 as a university based project, we thought about taking it a step further by inviting school students to grab this opportunity this year.

Therefore with an audience including both the undergraduates and school students, the workshop was held successfully on the 28th of October 2019 at the Career Guidance Unit of the University of Kelaniya.
Our two resource persons, Chathuranga Wijesooriya and Sandaru Nanayakkara- two experts in Information Technology from the Faculty of Computing and Technology, conducted the session attractively as the discussion was based on the topics of introduction to IT, cyber bullying and how to use social media properly.

Since there were many Advanced Level students in the audience, they were provided with a special discussion on the subject of GIT (General Information Technology) as well.

The directors of the avenue of Professional Development  Rtr. Thilini Witharama and Rtr. Kameera Hemachandra are to be appreciated for their great effort put into action in making this event a success.
Therefore at the end, ElevaIT X, the first project organized by the avenue of Professional Development, was a successful event which proved that serving youth is one of our prime motives as Rotaractors!
