The Spirit of the Club – April

Month of April was a fruitful month for the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya and there were two pillars behind the success of this month.

Rtr. Harindu Abeysinghe, the president of the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya was a great leader throughout the Rotaract journey and his commitment, dedication and initiations helped to take the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya to the next level. Being selected as the president of the month from the Rotaract District as well as being the project chair of “Lead the Way” are some of the best examples for selecting him as the spirit of the month and we are grateful to work under a leader such as him.

“The Career MasterMIND” was one of the most successful projects organized in the month of April and it was a professional development project conducted by the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya. It was organized with the primary objective of amalgamating the local academic arena with the corporate world to empower the undergraduates of universities of Sri Lanka who expect to follow a career path in future, and to support them to face those future challenges and to encourage them to reach the expected competency level in the job market. The individual who was behind the success of this project was Rtr. Ashen Aponso, the Co-Director of the Professional Development Avenue and we consider him as the spirit of the month for April as gratitude to all his commitment and hardships.

Therefore as the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya, we are grateful to both Rtr. Harindu Abeysinghe and Rtr. Ashen Aponso for all the commitment and hard work they have provided to make all these events a success.
