The TRR Rajan cricket carnival was organised by the Rotary Club of Kandy on the 7th September 2019 with the participation of Rotary and Rotaract clubs in Sri Lanka. The TRR Rajan cricket carnival 2019 was organised for the 17th consecutive year, held in honour and memory of our late Rotarian, T.R.R Rajan. Rtn. T. R. R Rajan was the 51st president of the Rotary Club of Kandy who initially sponsored the Kandy sports club in 1992 and also sponsored the Old Trinitians Sports Club. He was a great sportsman and an unforgettable humanitarian who did a magnificent service to our community.

The Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya was able to defeat many other Rotaract Clubs and make its way to the finals and to become the champions by defeating the cricket team of the Rotaract Club of University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
Our team consisted a total number of 7 players. They were Rtr. Himesha De Soyza, Rtr. M.A.T. Siriwardhana, Rtr. Sahan Rashmika, Rtr. W.A.H.M. Wijayarathne, Rtr. Champika Mendis, Rtr. Sandaru Chamika captained by Rtr. Rusira Nipun who was titled as the Best Batsman and Best Bowler of the tournament.

We would like to congratulate our cricket team and also would like to thank everyone who helped them throughout the process. Especially, for coaching and cheering our champions!!
