Manussakama – II

There is nothing better than the feeling you get when you know you have helped someone in need. Food is a basic need that we all commonly share, and for those of us who are privileged we get three or may be more of it daily. But the bitter truth is there are so many who do not even get one meal per day. Which is sad indeed. We conducted our community service project “Manussakama – II” to extend our helping hand to those under-privileged. We distributed lunch to the needy in the outskirts of Colombo, to lend a hand to those who are unable to win their bread. To be able to witness the happiness in their faces and their kind words was priceless and we consider ourselves lucky and immensely blessed to be part of such a project. Yet another fabulous start for the year 2016 for the Rotaract club of University of Kelaniya, with many more events to come so that we can continue to be a light in the dark.
